• Code - Display Firmware
Enter code *#1234# to display Firmware version of the phone.
• Keypad Tones active (not greyed out)
Settings > Display Settings > Dialling Display > Font Type
change font type from THEME to NORMAL and then SAVE
• Loop song
While playing a song in music player u can highlight a part of the song to be repeated over, while listening to the song press 7 at the point u want repeated then press 7 again at the end of the section and it will loop the section between the the two presses of 7.
• Mass Storage - Write directly from computer to card.
1 - get a card reader and write directly to the card
2 - Under settings go to PHONE SETTINGS then to USB SETTINGS and change it to MASS STORAGE - you can now see the card using PC Studio 3
• Mute/Unmute
In standby screen hold # to mute or unmute sounds.
• Number Paste.
The advanced shortcuts menu>phone settings>advanced shortcuts (only accessable when dialling display is not theme) any number dialled in can be pasted into other apps, for example u can type in 0900 then paste it directly into alarm to give a wake up call at 0900 straight from the dialling display,or paste a date into calender or any digits straight into the convertor etc. handy
• Record call
During the call or even before the call
#*22671# -> AMR REC START [it starts to record an amr file] (WORKS??).
• Resize for MMS
If you need to send a photo via mms and its too big to send and u have no pc available to downsize the pic (my limit is 100kb via mms with my sim) open the photo in photo editor on the phone and "save as" rename it differently from the original and u will have two copys of the pic and the edited version will be under 100kb.
• T9 - Switch it off
just hold down * till the little icon goes from T9Abc to plainly ABC. The phone will remember your preference when you return to write a message any other time. Isn't this in the phone manual?
• Vivid messages
To activate it, go to Messages> Message settings > Receiving options > Vivid Messaging ON. instead of viewing text messages the old boring way, view it as vivid messages. It's freakin sick!!
• Vivid known words
Smile/happy (same icon), Phone, House, Cake, Flowers, car, sad, upset/angry (same icon),
oops (looks like upset only with a tear in it's eye), pub/beer (same icon), clock, time, love,
wine, question, wink, heart (same as love), cry (might be the same as sad), bus, coffee, star,
train, sun, moon, dog, cat, camera, laugh (same as happy), shocked, hot (same as sun), snow/cold (same icon), rain/umbrella (same icon), sleep/sleepy/tired (same icon), boat/ship (same icon), taxi/cab (same icon), read/book (same icon), kiss.
• Volume button – short summary of info.
Holding the volume button when the screen is off displays a short summary of information. Time, Date, signal, missed calls, etc...
• Volume Button - Reject Call
The volume key can be set up as to Reject a call and send a Text message saying : I WILL CALL YOU LATER or BUZY or whatever you like... Once again a Cool and Helpful Feature.... Its too simple... go to settings --> phone settings --> volume key function -->
• Wallpaper Images or Animated Wallpapers (fullscreen)
Remember to check mark the box called MENU BACKGROUND
If you dont do that, then your picture will not stretch to fullscreen and you will end up with a cropped picture.
